Join us April 11th-16th for the U.S.-Mideast Hip Hop Exchange! The hip hop exchange is sponsored by Universal Beatz, a new group on campus working to break down cultural barriers through the artistic medium of hip hop. Help us welcome Moroccan, Lebanese, and Libyan artists for a week of cross-cultural exchange with local St. Louis artists Tef Poe, Nick Gates, Mauri Lavelle Spitz, and more! This is an unprecedented event that we would love for you to be a part of. Check out the following schedule for events you can attend:
Monday, April 11th: Informal Panel Discussion. Meet the artists in an informal setting and discuss hip hop across cultures.

Tuesday, April 12th: Hip Hop Dance workshop. Learn some basic hip hop dance skills from our visiting artists!

Wednesday, April 13th: Creative Activism formal panel discussion. Learn more about creative activism in the Middle East and North Africa in this townhall-style event, co-sponsored by the International Studies Honorary

Wednesday, April 13th: Rap Workshop. Learn how to utilize rhythm and poetry! With instruction from WU-SLam poets and our visiting artists.
