blueEnergy Service Learning Internship Program

blueEnergy is an international non-profit organization that works to connect those most in need along the Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua to energy and clean water. One critical aspect of blueEnergy’s work is its Global Leadership Program, a program that looks to provide exceptional educational experiences for young people interested in gaining hands-on experience in one of the following core discipline areas: water and sanitation, renewable energy, and community development.

blueEnergy currently has a unique Service Learning Internship Program that may interest your students. The Service Learning Internship Program is a 1-12 week program for students interested in renewable energy, clean water, and/or development work. Students will gain hands-on experience working in a complex and challenging environment alongside local and international staff and volunteers. Individual work plans are developed by blueEnergy’s Nicaraguan project managers to ensure that each intern has the opportunity to work on a project and develop skills within his/her area of interest. For more general information on the internship, go to http://www.blueenergygroup.org/spip.php?article545&lang=en.

This may be a great opportunity for your students interested in having the experience of a lifetime while gaining international field experience.
