Don’t miss out on the premier speaker of the semester:
Garry Kasparov, the best chess player of all time, a champion of democracy in Russia, and a world renowned financial expert is coming to speak to campus on *Monday, April 2nd at 4:30 in Graham Chapel*. Mr. Kasparov will be delivering a 45 minute lecture and conducting a 30 minute Q + A session in Graham Chapel, followed by a 45 minute reception and chess exhibition in the Women’s Building Formal Lounge.
Mr. Kasparov’s lecture is titled: *Making Use of Strategic Thinking in Business and Politics. *His primary focus will be on the strategic interactions of economic and political interests in the tumultuous global economy. Mr. Kasparov will also address the current instability in Russia – a topic he is uniquely qualified to speak on as the founder of the democratic political party The Other Russia and a 2007 candidate for the Presidency of Russia. Mr. Kasparov, a Wall Street Journal Op-ed contributor since 1991, has spoken on this topic to many of the elite global financial firms and wrote a book (How Life Imitates Chess) applying the tactical lessons he learned from chess to economic decision making. He is an accomplished speaker and, in my opinion, one of the most interesting men in the world.
Please join me in welcoming him to campus *Monday, April 2nd at 4:30 in Graham Chapel. *This is an incredible opportunity that ought to trump even your afternoon nap. Don’t miss out.
